BIO
I’m Xitlalitl Diaz and I am a Chicana artist from the central valley. I am currently residing in Marina, California for university. I attend California State University, Monterey Bay and am studying Visual & Public Art. My artwork is deeply influenced by my emotion. I often involve bright colors and black bold outlines. Personally color is a must and it’s a great way to express a feeling. Within my work you will notice different types of plants and butterflies, signifying growth, hope and life. I work mainly with acrylic and mixed media on canvas. The technique I use for the majority of my paintings is dry brushing. A goal of mine is to explore and master oil painting.
